I've been watching your videos since PowerDirector 16. I currently have PowerDirector 18 Ultra and I bought a new computer with Windows 11 before Windows 10 becomes obsolete for security and system updates...and for better processors (etc), But when I installed Power Director 18 on WIN 11 it gets locked on "sample clips\balloons" and freezes. I tried compatibility checker and explored other recommendations but nothing works. I uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing works. I spent over $100 bucks for PD 18 and was looking forward to using it with my new desktop computer with Windows 11 (Computer and program are both 64x.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope Cyberlink doesn't deliberately design software to be obsolete on new Windows platforms. Usually it's Windows that make their own programs obsolete so you're forced to upgrade like I'm doing now by going from WIN10 to WIN11. All my other programs work fine. Lucky me, because it would have cost a fortune to replace ALL my software to be compatible with Windows 11. I'm still using software from WIN98 on WIN10! Sometimes it takes a long time to master a program, and it really sucks if it becomes OBSOLETE if you upgrade your platform! Thanks for your time. You always create great videos with great humor.

I'm using PD19 and I would like to make a slideshow with the 'cell' or 'highligt' style, customise my slideshow with only the slides and the sequence that I want. All work fine, but the speed of the slideshow is much to high. Standard option to create a slideshow based on the length of the music does not work in my case because I want to choose the pictures (and the may only occur once in my slideshow). How can I slowdown the style creation proces?

I suppose that the downside of subscription is that, if after two or three year, let's say, you can't afford the payment anymore or want to buy a different software, you lose it completely. What happens to the projects you edited using it??? Is all lost or can you transfer them to a different software?

unable to find pip in my powerdirector

I followed your instructions resetting aspect ratio to 9:16 and uploading short to UA-cam studio, and my video looks like all distortion lines like on a tv screen, when reception is bad… why is this? Audio is fine but the image is terrible. Yet from power director it looks perfect…

Hi, I have the opposite issue from your video. Whenever I hit play to preview a clip a rendering notification pops up above the timeline as well as a green bar in the timeline. Since this has started preview is extremely slow and there is no longer audio when previewing. I used tips from your other videos to lower preview quality and resolution but this did not help, rendering is unchecked in preferences. Could you help me solve this problem? For reference I have PD365 subscription for windows 11. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem with the Boris FX Film Damage is: 1) the size of the dirt is WAY WAY too big, 2) the size of hair is WAY WAY too big. The problem with the "Old Movie" Effect is: The film errors are way too little. If you want to make a film look like a silent movie from 1900 you need a lot more smol film errors and lots more SMALL very small hair and dirt. Those effects are sadly useless, cuz not authentic enough. Oh and btw. old movies didn't skip at all or run "too fast", when you watch silent movies, they are really really smooth, even without being recreated digitally.

No perpetual license for the Mac version. Too bad.

I have used your information many times to help me in many ways on my editing a videos using CyberLink, I have not seen one of your videos to tell me how to get rid of the ghost files that it creates when I'm making a video. We do a 4 camera shoot every sunday at our church . . . upload SD chips to computer . . . import to CPD16 . . . chop and streamline . . . and are usually 45 min to 65, Today will be almost 2 hrs . . . and it won't fit on a DVD . . . so I needed to make the video available to HandBrake somehow without burning the DVD . . . you spotted me on the way. . . . Is the PIP "room" only available for PAID programs? I just cannot pay for a video editor and I cannot for the life of me find one where I can put in my video and simply overlay a photo on the video. That is all I want to do. I cannot find that in PowerDirector...

Powerdirector 365 updated today and now the yellow range selector tabs that were on the playhead are gone!! If you have any connections with those folks please ask them to put them back. Without this feature the software is useless to me.
